Founded in 2005, the Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon has become recognized as one of the premier triathlon festival weekends in the country. The PHLYTRI features three days of activities including a Sprint Distance Triathlon, Kids Duathlons and Fun Runs, a Multisport Expo, and culminates with the showcase Olympic Distance Race featuring some of the best professional triathletes in the world. The scenic, challenging course, knowledgeable and dedicated race staff, and fun family atmosphere are just a few of the reasons the PHLYTRI was named a top-five triathlon in the United States by Outside Magazine and was lauded as one of the top big city triathlons by Inside Triathlon Magazine. Once again in 2010, more than 4,500 athletes and 15,000 spectators will descend upon Philadelphia's Fairmount Park to take part in one of the nation's top ranked multisport events.
